This internship position is located in South San Francisco.
The Opportunity
Responsibilities encompass curating data from both internal and public repositories.
The role involves identifying, applying, and integrating computational methods to produce scientific insights that meet project requirements.
Code documentation and data interpretation are crucial for ensuring reproducibility.
The candidate will also deliver scientific presentations at group and departmental meetings.
Program Highlights
Intensive 12-weeks, full-time (40 hours per week) paid internship.
Program start dates are in May/June (Summer)
A stipend, based on location, will be provided to help alleviate costs associated with the internship.
Ownership of challenging and impactful business-critical projects.

Who You Are (Required)
Required Education: You meet one of the following criteria:
Must be pursuing a Bachelor's Degree (enrolled student).
Must be pursuing a Master's Degree (enrolled student).
Must be pursuing a PhD (enrolled student).
Required Majors:
Biomedical engineer, Computer Science, Computational Biology, Bioinformatics, Immunology/Oncology.
Required Skills:
Proficiency in R or Python.
Proficiency in analyzing multi-modal datasets, exploratory data analysis, visualization, and evaluation of clinical trial data (desirable).
Publication record in areas related to immunology or oncology (desirable).
Ability to adapt to an agile environment, effective scientific communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Qualifications
Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.

The expected salary range for this position based on the primary location of California is $45.00-$50.00 hour. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law. This position also qualifies for paid holiday time off benefits.
