This internship position is located in South San Francisco, on site.
The Opportunity
The intern will lead the development of a novel computational method to learn meaningful representations of live-cell imaging.
A preliminary step will require basic understanding of the data, its features and required processing steps.
To benchmark the generic approach, we can use publicly available datasets with existing supervision which allows performance evaluation.
There will be opportunities to apply the method on novel data collected in the lab, targeting dedicated biological questions.
Program Highlights
Full time for at least first 12 weeks (40 hours per week) paid internship.
Program start dates are in May/June (Summer).
A stipend, based on location, will be provided to help alleviate costs associated with the internship.

Who You Are
Required Education: You meet one of the following criteria:
Must be pursuing a Bachelor's degree (enrolled student).
Must have attained a Bachelor's degree (recent graduates not currently enrolled in a grad program).
Must be pursuing a Master's degree.
Must have attained a Master's degree.
Required majors: Biomedical Engineering & Computational Sciences or related fields.
Required skills:
Experience with data driven method development.
Familiarity with time series data and dynamical process modeling.
Knowledge and experience with deep learning frameworks.

The expected salary range for this position based on the primary location for this position in California is $45.00 - $50.00 per hour. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law. This position also qualifies for paid holiday time off benefits.
