2025 Summer Intern - Immunology, Cardiovascular, Renal, and Metabolism (CVRM), Imaging & Computational Strategy

Department Summary

The Roche/Genentech Clinical Development organization is structured by therapeutic area and is responsible for developing and executing the late stage development (Phase 2-3) clinical strategies and plans to deliver medically differentiated therapies that provide meaningful improvement to patients. 

The PD ION/Immunology intern will gain an understanding of drug development and contribute to our Cardiovascular Renal Metabolism (CVRM) disease area of objectives.

This internship position is located in South San Francisco, on-site

The Opportunity

You conduct literature reviews to help inform the design of imaging substudies for Incretin trials. You will accomplish this by collecting information from prior incretin trials around the stability and variability of imaging or fluid biomarkers

You will help streamline the Phase II and Phase III imaging acquisition and analysis process

You will help in other areas as needed to support the team

Program Highlights

Intensive 12-weeks, full-time (40 hours per week) paid internship.

Program start dates are in May/June (Summer)

A stipend, based on location, will be provided to help alleviate costs associated with the internship. 

Ownership of challenging and impactful business-critical projects.

Who You Are:

Required Education:

Must be pursuing a Master's Degree (enrolled student).

Must be pursuing a PhD (enrolled student).
 

Required Majors: Computer Science, Mathematics, Biomedical Engineering, or related area 

Required Skills:

Must have prior experience working with machine learning algorithms

Must have prior experience working with medical imaging 

Must understand how to conduct literature searches in PubMed, Embase, Web of Science etc.

Must have basic knowledge of immunology and human physiology / biology

Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Qualifications

Previous research experience, preferably in clinical research

Worked within the cardiovascular metabolic space

You have excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.

You work with integrity, courage and passion; will have the ability to complement our culture and the standards.

Relocation benefits are not available for this job posting. 

The expected salary for this position based on the primary location of  California is $50.00 hour.  Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law. This position also qualifies for paid holiday time off benefits.
