Equitable is seeking stellar student leaders who are eager to participate in our IT Internship program. The experience you’ll gain will open up exceptional career opportunities and could lead to you landing your dream job at Equitable upon graduation.

The IT Summer Intern program provides an exciting and rewarding experience for college students interested in IT as a career. Our program provides training and practical experience on technology best practices and processes designed to start developing the Equitable technology leaders of the future.

The IT Summer Internship will provide you with a general understanding of Information Technology and the various business areas we support. IT Interns will be assigned to a technical functional area of IT including Programming, Systems Analysis, Infrastructure, Data Analysis, End User Support, and Cybersecurity. Upon the successful completion of the internship, the IT Interns may be considered for a permanent position upon college graduation.

Intern Goals/Success Measures

Experience in building relationships with all levels of managementAbility to work with project teams and complete all assigned projects by deadline datesFunctional experience in assigned IT business areasDemonstrated teamwork through collaboration on an executive presentation

Typical assignments will consist of:

Involvement and assistance with department-wide industry-leading-edge initiativesProject support to ensure the completion of various company-wide projectsInterfacing with a diverse group of peers in a matrix organizationSupporting team members in completion of project tasks such as analyzing data models, software development, conducting unit testing, and implementing project deliverablesTime is allotted for training, networking and completion of CIO / SIO project presentation

Internship Details
Dates: June 2025 to August 2025
Location: Syracus, NY or Charlotte, NC
Work Environment: Hybrid / Flexible (2 days per week in office)
Hourly Rate: $25/hour
