Applied Materials’ Plasma Product Modeling team in Silicon Product Group is searching for an intern to join our team in summer 2025! Our computational modeling tools for plasma have been used for many years to design plasma and RF equipment. Recently we have developed machine learning framework for applications in plasma science. The position will entail the following:
Understand chamber design and operating conditions, simulated plasma properties or experimental on-wafer process characteristics.Apply in-house plasma model to understand complex plasma behavior, or on-wafer plasma characteristic.Use in-house plasma model results and/or experimental data to predict plasma behavior or on-wafer process characteristics using machine learning model based on business needs.Requirements
