About Product Performance within Roche Diabetes Care
We are ONE Operations & Quality. With passion and competence, we bring diabetes management products to patients today and in the future.
Product Performance team supports Operations & Manufacturing area in Indianapolis, by developing and maintaining tools that proactively monitor production and testing data, and optimizing performance. All aspects of performance are considered, including customer perspective, quality, process efficiency or disruptions in supply chain.
The Opportunity:
As the Product Performance Intern, you will be fully embedded into the Global Operations & Quality team, interacting with various teams in a matrix environment.
You will attend, support and/or plan team meetings and workshops to build and maintain an understanding of ongoing activities and projects
You will investigate and drive further automation and simplification of current processes
You will support teams to manage complex system structures and interfaces
You will prepare a summary of learnings and point out improvement areas you discover
You will work both autonomously and with others on engineering projects with the goal of achieving process and/or safety improvements, as well as cost savings.
Program Highlights:
Intensive 12-weeks, full-time (40 hours per week) paid internship.
Program start dates are in May/June (Summer)
A stipend, based on location, will be provided to help alleviate costs associated with the internship.
Ownership of challenging and impactful business-critical projects.
Work with some of the most talented people in the biotechnology industry.
Who you are:
Required Education:
Must be pursuing a PhD graduate degree in Engineering disciplines, Computer Science, and related fields with a strong data science background.
Have completed at least two years of post-graduate coursework at an accredited college/university.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with one or more of these methods: Univariate/Multivariate signal processing methods; Machine learning for regression, classification or recommendation; Physics-Informed Machine Learning;
Proficient in SAS.
Intermediate skills working with Microsoft Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint etc.) and Google Tools
Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work with a diverse and multi-disciplinary team.

The expected salary range for this position is based on the primary location of Indianapolis is $36-$43 hour. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
