The Opportunity
Evidence for Access is looking for an intern to help in the development of modeling studies, building tools in Excel, and drafting abstracts and manuscripts. You will gain hands-on experience with health economics modeling, study design, and implementation, receive one-to-one training on the technical aspects of the role, and learn about effective communication with collaborators and stakeholders. To achieve the goal of the application of research methodology to generate important population health insights, you will:
Collaborate with TI team members to execute modeling studies from concept to dissemination
Conduct or contribute to literature reviews of disease areas, clinical and economic factors, and methodologies of interest to support modeling analyses
Source relevant inputs to complete modeling work
Gain hands-on experience in designing, developing and communicating health economic models
Work independently, with direction and mentoring from manager and other peers to clarify directions and expand knowledge and skills.
Draft research abstracts, posters, and manuscripts for publication
Program Highlights
Intensive 12-weeks, full-time (40 hours per week) paid internship.
Program start dates are in May/June (Summer)
A stipend, based on location, will be provided to help alleviate costs associated with the internship.

Who You Are
Required Education (you meet one of the following criteria):
Must be pursuing a Master's Degree (enrolled student).
Must have attained a Master's Degree
Must be pursuing a PhD (enrolled student).
Must have attained a PhD
Preferred Majors: MPH/MS/PhD in Economics, biostatistics, Applied Mathematics, Epidemiology, Public Health, Public Policy, Health Services Research or other related disciplines
Required Skills:
Experience and coursework in economic modeling, study design, domestic healthcare systems, and public policy.
Working knowledge of modeling in Excel
Excellent communication, presentation, and collaboration.
Problem-solving mindset and willingness to work independently and collaboratively to find solutions
Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Qualifications

The expected salary for this position based on the primary location of California is $50 hour. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law. This position also qualifies for paid holiday time off benefits.
