2025 Summer Intern - Software Applications and Pipelines

Department Summary

Our team is responsible for delivering quality software to enable software for sequencing devices. Our team is highly encouraged to save cost in prototyping and running pipelines on the cloud with efficient resourcing and fin-ops. 

This internship position is located in Santa Clara, on-site.  

The Opportunity

To enable and maintain pipelines using Python and Google Cloud Platform.

Execute efficient resource allocation using load balancing on the infrastructures.

Plan on delivering a cost dashboard to drill down the most expensive modules.

Documenting all the processes and add unit tests to the functional modules.

Deploy pipelines on the environment using DevOps enabled tools.

Program Highlights

Intensive 12-weeks, full-time (40 hours per week) paid internship.

Program start dates are in May/June (Summer)

A stipend, based on location, will be provided to help alleviate costs associated with the internship. 

Ownership of challenging and impactful business-critical projects.

Work with some of the most talented people in the biotechnology industry.

Who You Are:

Required Education: You meet one of the following criteria:

Must be pursuing a Bachelor's Degree (enrolled student)

Must be pursuing a Master's Degree (enrolled student).

Required Majors: Computer Science or Cognitive Science

Required Skills: Knowledge of at least one year of Python and Cloud. Experience with Bash is optional.

Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Qualifications

Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.

Relocation benefits are not available for this job posting. 

The expected salary range for this position based on the primary location of  Santa Clara is $45-$50 hour.  Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law. This position also qualifies for paid holiday time off benefits.
