Department Summary
As a Summer Intern in the position of Software Developer in Test, you will have the opportunity to work with the family of the applications that drive the Sequencing Workflow and take part in the design, build, test, and deployment of Healthcare technology applications. You will be embedded in the Software Verification and Validation department, which is responsible for ensuring that product deliverables meet customer, business, and product requirements, verifying and validating product toward market release into regulated environments.
This internship position is located in Santa Clara, on site
The Opportunity
Developing SW applications to automate/simplify troubleshooting
Enhancing test automation frameworks in support automated acceptance criteria and test scenarios for front-end (web/touch-UI) and backend (API)
Integrating automated tests into automated pipelines for regular and on-demand regression testing
Performing investigation and root cause analysis of test failures and reporting product defects
Contributing to statistical data synthesis and aggregation of test results into summary charts and reports;
Extending dashboards and solutions for quality metrics reporting.
Program Highlights
Intensive 12-weeks full-time (40 hours per week) paid internship.
Program start dates are in May/June (Summer)
A stipend, based on location, will be provided to help alleviate costs associated with the internship.
Ownership of challenging and impactful business-critical projects.

Who You Are
Required Education:
Must be pursuing or have attained an Associate's Degree.
Must be pursuing a Bachelor's Degree (enrolled student).
Must have attained a Bachelor's Degree (not currently enrolled in a graduate program).
Must be pursuing a Master's Degree (enrolled student).
Must have attained a Master's Degree.
Required Majors: Computer Science or related field of engineering
Required Skills:
Experienced in programming using Java and JavaScript
Familiar with software design and architecture including front-end and backend technologies
Excellent in verbal and written communication along with sound analytical skills.
Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Qualifications
Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.

The expected salary range for this position based on the primary location of STATE is $45-$50 hour. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law. This position also qualifies for paid holiday time off benefits.
