2025 Summer Internship | Entertainment Activities

Format: In Person Monday - Thursday and remote on Friday's
Dates: June 2nd - August 8th, 2025

 

POSITION SUMMARY

The Entertainment Activities Summer Intern will work with the Entertainment Activities team in identifying, pitching and developing Entertainment Activities Programming ideas as part of our entertainment shipboard programming. The Entertainment Activities Programming includes, but is not limited to, Trivia, Game Shows, Nighclubs, Parties, Theme Nights, Holiday Events, and more. In developing these new ideas, the intern will be helping the team with developing and maintaining Standard Operating Procedures, updating SQM and reviewing homeport and the company website for new information that may need to be updated or add. Opportunities include assisting with analysis and execution of current programs and analysis of Guest satisfaction metrics and other financial and business analytics projects. Currently enrolled in a 4-year Bachelor or Graduate, Theater/Theater Arts, Entertainment Business, Performing Arts, or Liberal Arts related degree program.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Working closely with the Entertainment Activities teams to assist in compiling and creating new shipboard programming concepts and training materials.

2. Will develop new Themed Events and Dance Parties based on current trends or decided themes

3. Intern will assist in gathering data and information for analysis of current and future projects through Medallia with both ratings and comment tracking.

4. Will help create or update Standard Operation Procedures for future concepts or existing activities and will identify new flow plans for activities and concepts.

5. Will learn operational systems such as E1, smartsheet, sharepoint, Medallia and homeport editing.

6. Will help organize meetings and events for business purposes.

7. Will assist in booking travel for any vendor related activity within the fleet.

8. Will be required to perform any other job-related duties assigned by their supervisor or management.

 

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

The role must have the ability to think critically, use independent judgment and exercise key decision-making and project management skills. Must have excellent presentation and interpersonal skills to communicate in a multicultural environment with all levels of employees and management. Ability to read and interpret business documents as well as to write and generate reports and procedures. Proficiency of Entertainment knowledge used in the production and implementation of all Entertainment matters.
