Brief Description of the Team:
The corporate legal department advises and provides support to all Royal Caribbean Group cruise brands and shared services globally. We work closely with business partners in sales & marketing, IT, supply chain & procurement, entertainment & IP, treasury & finance, development & real estate, shipboard & shoreside operations, and HR. In addition to supporting numerous business partners, each lawyer also collaborates with colleagues in our corporate development, corporate tax, technical accounting, and audit groups. We work on time-sensitive issues, handle a large volume of agreements and other matters, operate with significant autonomy, and have considerable direct interaction with all levels of management.


Brief Description of the Internship:
Depending on the needs of the business, legal interns will work with different attorneys in supporting various business clients with projects, commercial transactions, contracts, and disputes. In particular, it is expected that interns will help draft and edit contracts and other documents, such as leases, regulatory forms, pleadings, settlement agreements, and patent and trademark applications; research, review, and interpret various laws, legal authorities, statutes, rules, and regulations in different jurisdictions; and help the respective attorneys formulate strategic legal advice on commercial relationships and legal risks.  


Qualifications:
•    Be able to be employed from June 2rd - August 8th, 2025 on a full-time basis in our Miami Headquarters (with some flexibility on dates)
•    Willingness to live in Miami after graduation.
•    Demonstrated academic and extracurricular credentials.
•    Strong writing skills and interest in drafting and negotiating contracts and other agreements.
•    Dedicated team player with an interest in learning about the company and business initiatives.
•    Strong communication skills and ability to work with several different attorneys and business partners.
•    U.S. Citizenship or Permanent Residency is required, as we do not offer sponsorship.
•    Marine industry or other relevant experience a plus.
