POSITION SUMMARY
The Youth/Sports Summer Intern will work with the Youth, Family and Sports team in identifying, pitching and developing new youth, family and sports ideas as part of our entertainment sports and youth shipboard programming. The intern will help with entering casting and recruiting information into necessary databases and document retention folders for all front of house Entertainment activities. The intern will work to help streamline the process of hiring new crew members to scheduling the crew member along side the Senior Specialist, Casting and Recruiting and the Scheduling team. The intern will be helping the team with developing and maintaining Standard Operating Procedures, updating SQM and reviewing homeport and the company website for new information that may need to be updated or added. Opportunities include assisting with analysis and execution of current programs and analysis of Guest satisfaction metrics and other financial and business analytics projects. Currently enrolled in a 4-year Bachelor or Graduate Recreation, Sports Management, Entertainment Business, Human Resource, or Liberal Arts related degree program.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Works alongside helping the schedulers (Specialist, Entertainment Scheduler – Youth, Specialist, Ent Scheduler – Sports and Senior Specialist, Entertainment Activities Casting & Recruitment on day to day support of the 900 plus applicants aspiring to work in onboard positions. Works closely with the Youth, Family and Sports teams to assist in compiling and creating new shipboard programming concepts and training materials. Will assist in gathering data and information for analysis of current and future projects through Medallia with both ratings and comment tracking as well as various market research documents as provided by consumer insights and product innovation. Will help create and update Standard Operation Procedures for future concepts or existing activities and will identify new flow plans for activities and concepts. Will be responsible for updating and publishing shipboard Job Descriptions for the front of house operations within Entertainment Activities. Will learn operational systems such as TMS (Technical Management System), E1, smartsheet, sharepoint, and homeport editing to support the overall Youth, Family and Sports team. Will help organize mass email influx of fleet communication via the Entertainment Activities Scheduling inbox and the Entertainment Activities Casting/ Recruitment inbox. Manages and compiles contents for Royal Caribbean Entertainment social media pages with a focus in Youth, Family and Sports. Perform other duties as required. QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION
A minimum of one year experience in an administrative role is preferred Experience in a recreation, education or sports role preferred Currently enrolled in a 4-year Bachelor or Graduate Program in Recreation, Sports Management, Entertainment Business, Human Resources, or Liberal Arts related degree program graduating in December 2025 or May of 2026. Must be able to be employed from May to August on a full-time basis Experience in Microsoft Office Products such as Excel, Powerpoint, Word, Sharepoint team collaboration tools required. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Cruise industry experience both shipboard and/or shoreside are preferred.
FINANCIAL/QUANTITATIVE RESPONSIBILITIES
This position participates in the development and tracking of annual recruiting budget.

While performing job functions the employee is regularly required to sit, and stand, write, review and type reports, compile data, operate a PC or MAC, communicate, listen, and assess information. The employee may move about the office complex, may travel to other office locations and may lift, push, pull or move 10-15 pounds. The employee is occasionally required to walk to the dock, ascend and descend the vessel. This position may regularly travel domestically or internationally. Visual requirements include distant, close and color vision, and ability to adjust focus.
WORKING CONDITIONS
The environment includes work inside/outside the office, travel to other offices, as well as domestic, international, and shipboard travel. A high noise level is possible if visiting shipboard or offsite locations
