As a software development intern for the imaging division at Zebra, your mandate will be to work in collaboration with the designers of the Aurora Imaging Library (AIL) and assist them in the tasks of testing new functionalities and/or participating in the improvement of the automated test infrastructure.
This role is expected to start on May 5th and run through August 22nd.

+ Collaborate with developers of the AIL library to develop automated testing strategies for new functionalities;
+ Understand the architecture of the existing software testing infrastructure;
+ Understand the concepts of artificial vision related to the functionalities to be tested;
+ Design and develop tests in object-oriented C ++;
+ Analyze and debug existing code;
+ Design Python scripts for our automation infrastructure or for data collection, analysis and visualization;
+ Participate in the improvement of our test automation tools on systems such as Linux;

+ Collaborer avec les développeurs de la librairie AIL pour élaborer les stratégies de tests automatisés afin de qualifier de nouvelles fonctionnalités;
+ Comprendre l’architecture de l’infrastructure logicielle de tests existante;
+ Comprendre les notions de vision artificielle reliées aux fonctionnalités à tester;
+ Concevoir et développer les tests en C++ orienté objet ;
+ Analyser/déboguer du code existant;
+ Concevoir des scripts Python pour notre infrastructure d'automatisation ou pour la collecte, l'analyse et la visualisation des données;
+ Participer à l'amélioration de nos outils d'automatisation de tests sur des systèmes tel que Linux ;
Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
+ Current enrollment in a bachelor’s degree in software engineering, computer science, electrical engineering or related field;
+ Must be authorized to work in Canada without requiring sponsorship now or in the future
Preferred Qualifications:
+ Possess good basis of object oriented programming with experience in languages such as C++ or C#;
+ Have strong team work and people skills;
+ Competent in both French and English (spoken and written).
+ Proficient in Microsoft Office (including Excel, Word, & PowerPoint)
+ Intellectual curiosity with a strong desire to learn and grow
+ Proven leadership and excellence in professional, academic, and/or extracurricular experiences
+ Ability to collaborate as part of a team
+ Effective verbal and written communication skills

Salary: CAD 28.50 - CAD 33.00 Hourly
Salary offered will vary depending on your location, job-related skills, knowledge, and experience.
Additionally, all Zebra roles are eligible for cash incentive programs. For example, sales roles have additional opportunity to earn substantial variable compensation tied to quota achievement. In most other roles, the Zebra annual cash incentive program links Company and individual performance together. Some roles may also be eligible for long-term incentive equity awards.
