Where the Chemistry Happens…

 

As a Logistics / Supply Chain intern, you will be responsible for:

 

 

Assist with providing accurate, effective, and timely management of replenishment orders (raw materials, packaging, and labels) from entry through successful fulfillment to our site, including issue identification/communication and problem resolution. Utilize organizational skills to assist with managing and executing order transfers across North America warehouses, as well as facilitation of direct shipments from our vendors to the site.  Assit with procurement of material needs based on production plan, determine order needs, enter purchase orders via SAP and track the deliveries.  Utilize effective communication skills to communicate and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including field customer supply chain planner, production team, quality team, global sourcing management, product stewardship, and procurement account managers. This includes communicating and resolving disruptions to incoming ordersAssist Supply Chain/Logistics with batch reviews and daily planningProgram Summary:

 

As a highly motivated undergraduate student, you will participate in a 10 to 12 week summer internship program at one of our Geismar sites.Successfully engaging across the business, you will be exposed to the leadership, technical, and scientific aspects of plant engineering, while also working in areas of safety and environment to uphold our high standardsUtilizing your experience in your area of study, you will help complete various projects which will provide the opportunity to further develop both technical and professional skills.Upon completion of the internship program, you will have the opportunity to present your summer project to other interns, BASF employees, and senior leaders.The opportunity for consideration of future opportunities within the organization Potential start date: End of May/Beginning of June 2025Create Your Own Chemistry: What We Offer You…

Process:

If selected for an interview, candidates will participate in a 45-minute interview with BASF representatives on site at the Geismar location.

 

Requirements:

Undergraduate and graduate students majoring in Logistics, Supply Chain, or Business ManagementCollege Sophomores and Juniors (April 2026 -July 2027 grads)Demonstrated academic achievement (Minimum GPA 3.0)Authorization to work in the U.S. now and in the future without restrictions or need for future sponsorshipDemonstrated previous leadership experience & academic achievementActive participation in extracurricular activities and on-campus organizationsBilingual skills are a plusExcellent written and oral communication skillsOutstanding work ethic and leadership potentialPrevious internship/co-op experience is a plusPrivacy Statement

Pay Transparency

 

BASF is committed to pay transparency practices. The competitive Pay Range for this role is $2,000 - $2,320 on a biweekly basis. Actual pay will be determined based on education, certifications, experience, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
