Job Summary
The Supply Chain Leadership Development Program accelerates professional development by placing participants into key areas of Avient’s Supply Chain organization in a two-year rotational program. These teams develop and support a wide range of activities and projects that enable the critical processes of Avient businesses.
The Supply Chain LDP Associate actively participates in various assignments in Supply Chain Planning, Demand Planning, Procurement, Customer Service, Logistics and Data Analysis on a rotational basis (6 - 8 months each) across all Avient business segments to gain key competencies. During each rotation the Supply Chain LDP Associate will establish relationships with peers and leaders, learn fundamentals of Avient SAP supply chain processes and be provided feedback from the program manager. Upon completion of the program, individuals will have a comprehensive understanding of our operations and be placed in a full time role within Avient best suiting their professional goals and current business needs.
Essential Functions
Participate across Avient’s businesses in roles such as: Finished Goods Planner for one or many sites, Raw material procurement for one or many sites, Customer Service, Demand Planning for a business, Logistics analyst, etc. Participate in cross-functional project teams within operations and supply chain. Work as a partner with business teams to resolve supply chain related issues. Hone forecasts for use in sales and operations planning. Interact with marketing, sales, and brand/product management to facilitate the planning process. Balance inventory, per specific internal goals, with required customer service levels and freight costs. Deliver world-class customer service, while protecting and meeting our internal goals. Help advance continuous improvement initiatives, ultimately to maintain or become supplier of choice for existing and new customers. Other projects as assigned.Qualifications
Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations, or related business field required. 1+ years of relevant work (internship experience applicable).Additional Qualifications
Team player with strong project management and organization skills required. Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines, as well as take initiative. Excellent oral and written communication skills required.
