Job Description

The Bioanalytical and Biomarker Science and Technologies team oversees the development, validation, the implementation of, and the management of clinical data from bioanalytical/biomarker assays for Takeda's clinical trials. We work closely with the TAU translational teams and data management to help design and support the implementation of translational strategies for clinical trials at all stages of clinical development.

Candidate will work with Takeda SMEs in the laboratory on assessing the feasibility and development of flow cytometry panels that will be used to support external assay development. Flow cytometry panels are frequently used in Oncology and GI programs as biomarkers for monitoring different cell populations in response to therapeutic intervention. Flow cytometry panel marker sets are typically unique for each drug development program but panels often share common markers to monitor routinely evaluated cell types. Rather than developing custom assays for each program an approach to improve efficiency is to maintain a set of common base panels into which unique, program-specific markers can be inserted.

The goal of the project for this internship would be working with Takeda SMEs to
