Job DescriptionSupport of manufacturing operations via collaborative problem solving, troubleshooting and project work. Technical leads for process improvement and optimization projects to increase production yields/efficiencies. Monitoring of critical process parameters to support statistical analysis/ parameter trending and ensure process control. Process subject matter expert support for process deviations
How You Will Contribute:
You will work on functional and cross-functional projects with the Manufacturing Sciences Department related to support of manufacturing operations.
You will receive mentoring from his/her manager and teammates. The experience and mentoring will complement the student’s studies to prepare them for a successful career.
Support development and implementation of policies, procedures and technical solutions.
Seek regular input and feedback from customers and take appropriate action.
Internship Development Opportunities:
Furthering of technical knowledge of the manufacturing process(es)
Collaborative teamwork experience within the MS team and other MFG support groups
Statistical software training and use to support data trending/analysis
Experience with working in an FDA-regulated manufacturing environment
Ability to learn how to optimize the process/direct experience with optimization and scale up to MFG
Job Requirements:
This position is a fully onsite position located in Covington, GA
Pursuing Bachelor’s/Master’s/PhD engineering discipline (Chemical, Biochemical, Biological, Biomedical, Mechanical or equivalent engineering)
Proven track record of delivery of commitments
Basic understanding of chemical/biological process, strong computer skills, basic experience with statistical analysis.
Must be able to lift, push and pull or carry up to 30 lbs
Demonstrates excellent skills in organization, team dynamics, effective communication and prioritization of tasks
Ability to analyze scientific, and statistical data to draw appropriate conclusions
Okay with Day Shift M-F (>90% of the time) with infrequent off-shift work possible (<10% of the time)
Internship Eligibility
Must be authorized to work in the U.S. on a permanent basis without requiring sponsorship
Must be currently enrolled in a degree program graduating December 2025 or later
The internship program is 10-12 weeks depending on the two start dates (June 2nd- August 22nd) or (June 16th - August 29th)
The intern must be able to commit to one of these time frames
Able to work full time 40 hours a week during internship dates
Takeda does not provide a housing stipend or relocation support for the U.S Summer Internship Program

$21.00 - $46.00
The estimated hourly range reflects an anticipated range for this position. The actual hourly wage offered will depend on the candidate’s school year/level to be entered following completion of internship. The actual hourly wage offered will be in accordance with state or local minimum wage requirements for the job location.
