Job Description:

Multi Attribute Method/Monitoring-Mass Spectrometry (MAM-MS) is the use of MS for high resolution quantitative monitoring and understanding of the impact of process on product quality attributes.

The Analytical Development characterization team is hiring an intern that will utilize an automated workflow (Fig 1. Tecan/Andrew + Waters BioAccord) to provide real-time data to test process improvement hypotheses in the upstream Biologics Process Development and support cross-functional investigations.

Subunit and intact mass analysis of biologics will provide rapid readouts on glycosylation, c-terminal clipping products, and other product quality attributes, which can be affected by process levers. This internship will primarily be lab-based, with some remote data analysis flexibility.

Internship Development Opportunities:

• Hands-on experience working with a high-performance liquid chromatography mass spectrometry system (Waters BioAccord)
• Gain deep understanding into cross-functional work between Takeda AD and BPD teams.
• Work with bench-scale bioreactors (Time/bandwidth permitting)

Job Requirements:

Internship Eligibility

Must be authorized to work in the U.S. on a permanent basis without requiring sponsorshipMust be currently enrolled in a degree program graduating December 2025 or laterThe internship program is 10-12 weeks depending on the two start dates (June 2nd- August 29th) or (June 16th - August 22nd)The intern must be able to commit to one of these time framesAble to work full time 40 hours a week during internship datesTakeda does not provide a housing stipend or relocation support for the U.S Summer Internship Program

$21.00 - $46.00

The estimated hourly range reflects an anticipated range for this position. The actual hourly wage offered will depend on the candidate’s school year/level to be entered following completion of internship.  The actual hourly wage offered will be in accordance with state or local minimum wage requirements for the job location.
