As part of the Takeda ONE Oncology Community, OTAU partners closely with the Oncology Drug Discovery Unit, the Oncology Business Unit and Takeda Development Partners to bring transformational oncology medicines to patients. Takeda's summer internship program blends real world experience with an extensive exposure to the pharmaceutical industry. Knowledgeable mentors will provide guidance as you gain professional hands-on experience to further develop in your expertise. A primary focus for the internship will be to provide benchmarking and background research on oncology R&D portfolios and communicated strategies of key pharma competitors, providing a critical view of lessons learned and recommendations in support of Takeda Oncology’s goal of building a sustainable, risk-balanced and differentiated pipeline. Broadly, the intern will perform portfolio-,indication, mechanism- and modality-level data analyses to enable portfolio strategy initiatives across the Oncology Therapeutic Area Unit (OTAU). The role will involve working with cross-functional teams to support ongoing clinical programs and characterizing potential future directions for the OTAU.
