The metrology and process control team in Chemical Mechanical Planarization (CMP) is responsible for developing cutting-edge nanometer-scale process control products used to control the manufacturing process of the most-advanced semiconductor chips, many of which are inside everyday electronic devices. We are actively recruiting for a product development engineer to join our team.
Responsibilities
•
Develop in situ metrology and process control products to provide real time process control on CMP tools
•
Interface with internal teams to define system requirements
•
Develop C&F system with other team members and conduct exploratory experiments
•
Develop algorithms to control various aspects of CMP process
•
Develop hardware and software integration specifications and support system level debugging
•
Work closely with other internal teams to bring product from C&F stage to production release
•
Serve as the central technical resource for other internal teams on CMP metrology and process control related issues
•
Collaborate with other teams and troubleshoot a variety of complex problems, resolve a variety of difficult process engineering and customer product issues
•
Generate internal and external documentation, presentations and technical reports
•
Travel to customer sites to implement new technologies and products
Requirements
•
M.S. or Ph.D. degree in Applied Physics, Electrical Engineering or related field with a strong aptitude in Math and programming. Broad STEM background is desired. Exceptional Bachelor degree holders are considered
•
Strong critical thinking, analytical and troubleshooting skills
•
Excellent communication skills. Great team player. Work to build consensus
•
Self-motivated to achieve objectives and meet deadlines under moderate level of guidance and direction
•
Experience with creating projects outside of class using a programming language (e.g. Python, Java, Matlab, or other languages traditionally used for computational data analysis) is desired
•
Familiar with statistical data analytics techniques. Ability to exercise judgment based on the analysis of multiple sources of information
•
Experience with building a control system is a plus
•
Have general knowledge of and/or exposure to semiconductor industry, process and/or metrology is a plus

$161,000.00 - $221,000.00The salary offered to a selected candidate will be based on multiple factors including location, hire grade, job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and with consideration of internal equity of our current team members. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation such as participation in a bonus and a stock award program, as applicable.
For all sales roles, the posted salary range is the Target Total Cash (TTC) range for the role, which is the sum of base salary and target bonus amount at 100% goal achievement.
