On the One Commercial Graduate Programme, you'll be a permanent employee from day one. You’ll be undergoing a world-class programme with choice, flexibility, and wellbeing at its heart. The ‘One Commercial’ early careers programme represents bp's commercial ambitions across entities globally. The capabilities and exposure provided via the programme position commercial early careers at the heart of bp’s strategy – providing resilient hydrocarbons, growing convenience & mobility and unlocking low carbon energy.
Within the programme, early careers are exposed to commercial levers to discover, deliver and develop commercial value for bp, its partners and customers.
This programme will give you a breadth of opportunity to build your commercial skills and experiences which will allow you to understand the complete commercial value chain across bp. The commercial discipline is integral to achieve bp’s ambitions to provide reliable, affordable and lower carbon energy to the world.
As a Commercial graduate at bp you will complete 3 rotations throughout the 3-year programme and rotate into a different team every 12 months.
The roles and responsibilities across these businesses are varied. The precise nature of your role will be defined by your skills, your home entity as well as the needs of the business.
As a ‘One Commercial’ graduate, you might be:
Helping to respond to our customers’ needs and to dynamic markets
Forming relationships with our external partners, collaborating across functions, segments and teams to deliver excellence
Working on projects and supporting your team to find the best solutions
Helping to make the best use of our assets and investments
Helping to maintain performance within your team and for bp as a company
Working across different parts of the energy value chain
Assisting in finding viable business models for decarbonisation and the energy transition
Partnering and working across bp entities to deliver integrated solutions

About you
You are passionate about low carbon energy for people and our planet. You’ll bring well-rounded life experience, and your strong academic results will be supported by some work experience, everything from customer service to industry experience is great! We know you’re early in your career – we don’t expect you to be an expert.
To be eligible for this programme you:
have a bachelor’s or master’s degree in any discipline which could range from Business, Commerce, Finance, Accounting, Sales & Marketing, Supply Chain/Procurement, Economics, Arts to any STEM degrees
recently graduated or currently in your final year and graduating by December 2025
hold an Australian citizenship or permanent residency

You will be based in our Melbourne office.
