22 Hrs/Wk (Fredonia/Dunkirk) Personal Care Aide (PCA) Job

JOB OVERVIEW:

CareGivers is looking for an outstanding, career-minded Personal Care Aide, HHA, or CNA to join our Designated Aide Team. In this position, you would be working Chautauqua County OFA casework in your territory – primarily Dunkirk & Fredonia, but some cases may be in the Brocton area. You would be guaranteed 22 hours a week, those hours would be weekday daytime hours (between 8:30 am and 4:30 pm).   If you need more hours, we can look for additional casework in the Dunkirk/Fredonia area.

A reliable vehicle and valid driver’s license are required for this position – this is not optional. You will be visiting multiple clients – 2 to 3 hours per client – and you may need to run errands or do shopping for some clients. You will be paid for travel time between clients which is included in your 22 hours/week. You will also be paid mileage in between clients, and for any errands or shopping you do for clients.

Shifts: Guaranteed** 22 hours/week, weekday daytime hours

Enhanced rates offered for this position, $19.00 – $20.00/ hour (depending on experience & reliability). We are looking for someone who is reliable, punctual, dedicated, and compassionate – these are essential traits for this position.

*If you have had at least 3 months of previous caregiving experience in the last three years, you may qualify to become a PCA through our free one-day alternative competency training class.

**If loss of hours is due to staff missing or being late for a scheduled shift, the 22 hour a week guarantee would not apply

JOB DUTIES: Responsible for providing personal care and supportive services which may include (but are not limited to) assisting the client in activities of daily living, providing light housekeeping services to maintain a clean and safe environment for the client, and making sure they follow their medication schedule.

Must be a certified PCA*, HHA, or CNA Will transition CNA to HHA with a free one-day class Qualified nursing students can work for us as HHAs – ask us how! If you have had at least 3 months of previous caregiving experience in the last three years, you may qualify to become a PCA through our free one-day alternative competency training class.  Ask us how! Must be caring, dependable, & must meet health requirements Reliable vehicle and valid driver’s license* required – you must be able to drive from client to client, this is not optional. (*clean – no major violations)
