24/7 Bilingual French Case Manager

Join our dynamic 24/7 team as a Bilingual French Case Manager, where you'll play a critical role in reviewing and managing Emergency Assistance cases, ensuring optimal customer support, and controlling costs for our organization. You will be responsible for investigating and making decisions on cases up to an approved authority level, all while striving to meet performance objectives on a monthly basis. What you do

Conduct daily monitoring of hospitalized patients and/or outpatient care, updating notes and keeping records of decisions in computer system. Secure Medical Consultant’s or Registered Nurse’s assessment of medical information. Provide approvals for defined procedures and liaises with medical team as required. Liaise with patient and/or family regarding benefit information, itinerary, technical benefits and arrangements for the case. Review client’s policies and investigate file to determine most appropriate course of action. Establish reserve based on the known incurred costs and estimated costs; update reserves when new information is received that changes the cost estimate. Investigate and coordinate existence of insurance coverage under additional policies such as Provincial Health or Extended Health plans. Make billing arrangements and obtain updated bill amounts. Obtain various types of documents as it pertains to the case being managed. Conduct administrative/logistical maintenance of case requirements. Communicate with business partners regarding escalated cases or requirements outside benefits.

 

What you bring

Post-secondary education and preferred 2 years’ experience in the Emergency Assistance Department. Ability to pay close attention to detail and multi-task. Superb verbal communication skills, specifically the ability to communicate professionally and articulately via phone with clients and colleagues. Demonstrated ability to use initiative and independent judgment in solving customer problems. • Proven ability to showcase a high level of accountability and ownership over a task. Good understanding of world geography and current events. Familiarity with medical terminology. Bilingual French is needed for this role.
