Job Summary:The primary function of the role of Infrastructure Engineer (Nights) is to provide support and manage infrastructure (including patching and maintenance) to clients systems. The individual should be comfortable liaising with Customers over the phone or email, provide technical guidance, perform IT service requests and be responsible for pro-active management of IT infrastructure through effective maintenance and monitoring. Infrastructure Engineers need to have a strong ability and confidence to work on infrastructure and must have the ability to work unsupervised on various software and networking capabilities.
This role will be on a shift pattern of 4 on, 4 off, with working hours 7PM – 7AM. Job Duties:
Perform Microsoft Windows Server administration in an Active Directory environment for multiple organizationsRespond to client service requests by providing remote support within support agreement targets (SLAs)Provide monitoring and maintenance capability to clients, including patchingEssential Skills:
A good understanding of IT – particularly servers/infrastructure and networksActive DirectoryAn understanding of Virtualisation, including Hyper V or VMWareAbility to plan, organize and adapt to changing job tasks within own roleStrong analytical, logical, and troubleshooting skillsStrong efficiency skills, with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environmentAt least two years of experience working in an IT support environment at a 2nd Line support level Preferred Skills:
Strong knowledge of VMWare/HyperV is hugely advantageousConnectWise Automate, ConnectWise Control, ConnectWise ManagePRTG and Logic Monitor – Network MonitoringMSP experience#LI-LL1#LI-REMOTE
