What You’ll Do

As a Line Lead you will be part of our team located in Gallatin, TN. You’ll get to: 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Safety – Practice and enforce all safety procedures, use of PPE, safe machine operation, and material handling. Help to create a culture that minimizes safety hazards, train team members to report all accidents, near misses, and potential hazards. Accountable for housekeeping and 5S implementation.5S champion. Accountable for the support, implementation, & auditing of the 5S program.Quality – Ensure all work instructions are followed, material part numbers & labels are correct, molded parts are free of all quality defects, and quality standards are followed. Complete first piece inspection at the beginning of the shift and perform quality audit every 2 hours. Stop/Call process techs at no more than 5 bad pieces.Machine Utilization – Maximize the machine utilization by attaining 90%+ of published target. Minimize downtime by immediately reporting machine breakdowns, material shortages, or quality concerns.Scrap – Work closely with process technicians by immediately reporting quality concerns to minimize scrap. Ensure all scrap is tagged for disposition and moved to grinding area before end of shift. Standard Work – Ensure standard work instructions are adhered to throughout the shift. Lean Manufacturing techniques implementation. 5S, 7W, Problem Solving, Visual Factory, Standard Work.Assembly Set-Up – Changeover assembly lines including assembly fixtures, unused inventory, and work instructions. Communicate effectively with the warehouse team to ensure all materials are pulled in a timely manner.Breaks/Lunch – Fill in for operators on break/lunch. Cover a minimum of four breaks.Assignments – Assign work to team members within production line. Effectively communicate any concerns with Shift Supervisor. Rotate team members every 2 hours to ensure efficient job rotations. Flexibility – Ability to work outside normal work hours, including Saturday, as needed to support customer requirements.Feedback – Provide meaningful & timely feedback to Leadership.Other Duties – Perform other duties as assigned.

Able to use/learn Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word)Able to use/learn SAP or similar software.Ability to be trained & operate a PIV (Powered Industrial Vehicle) preferred, but not required.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.Demonstrated leadership and problem-solving skills.Good organizational and time management skillsConsistently demonstrates highest level of personal ethical conductResults driven with emphasis on keeping customer and business commitmentsMinimum of 6 months manufacturing experience.Prefer 1 or more years’ experience in area of responsibility.High School Diploma/ GED required
