Injection Mold Process Technician.
An Injection Molding Process Technician is a skilled professional who sets up, operates, monitors, and troubleshoots plastic injection molding machines to produce high-quality plastic parts. They possess a strong understanding of materials, tooling, and equipment specific to the injection molding process.
Typical Job Duties:
· Machine Setup: Install molds, set machine parameters (temperature, pressure, cycle time), and ensure proper functioning of auxiliary equipment.
· Process Monitoring: Continuously observe machine operation, monitor part quality, and make necessary adjustments to maintain consistent production.
· Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve processing issues such as defects, inconsistencies, and machine malfunctions.
· Quality Control: Inspect finished parts for defects, measure dimensions, and ensure adherence to quality standards.
· Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance on machines and auxiliary equipment, and report any major repairs needed.
· Documentation: Maintain accurate records of process parameters, production data, and maintenance activities.
· Safety: Adhere to safety procedures and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Essential Skills and Qualifications:
· High school diploma or equivalent; technical certifications or associate degree in a related field are a plus.
· Proven experience as an Injection Molding Process Technician or similar role.
· Strong understanding of injection molding processes, materials (thermoplastics), and tooling.
· Proficiency in setting up and operating injection molding machines and auxiliary equipment.
· Ability to troubleshoot processing issues and make necessary adjustments.
· Knowledge of quality control procedures and inspection techniques.
· Mechanical aptitude and ability to perform basic maintenance tasks.
· Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
· Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
· Knowledge of Scientific molding principles and techniques is preferred.
· Experience with automation and robotics in Injection mold is a Plus.
· Knowledge of Single stage and Two stage blow molding is an added advantage.
