Johnson Service Group, a nationally award winning staffing firm, is looking to hire a Front Desk Facilities Coordinator for a Research Institute in San Diego, CA.
This role is direct hire opportunity | Onsite | $50K - $54K Based on experience | Candidate must have authorization to work with in the US as our client isn’t able to provide current or future sponsorship.
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 4:00 p.m. - 12:30 a.m.
Assist visitors and contractors with check-in and check-out processes. Utilize strong interpersonal skills, including good judgment and flexibility, to interact effectively with scientific and research staff, faculty, executive management, and administrative staff. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Conduct routine building rounds to ensure security and safety. Perform bulk LN2 and CO2 tank/level checks. Verify that all visitors and contractors are on-site for business purposes and are escorted as needed. Move and fill LN2 dewars. Monitor and drain sinks and sumps as necessary. Turn off lights in unoccupied areas. Perform minor painting, repair work, furniture assembly, and setup tasks. Oversee quality control of janitorial staff and monitor security staff in various technical areas. Leveling Requirements 1-2 years of experience in the outlined duties. High school diploma or GED. Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Gmail, G-Suite, and general computer skills. Successful completion of the Institute’s background check. Completion of a post-offer physical examination. Willingness to sign an employee confidentiality agreement. Regular, reliable, and on-time attendance with reliable transportation. Ability to work overtime as needed. Flexibility to adjust the work schedule based on workload. Possession of a valid California driver’s license and capability to run errands for the Institute. Ability to stand for prolonged periods. Capability to exert a pushing or pulling force of approximately 20-30 pounds when moving and filling LN2 dewars. Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds. Competency in using step stools/ladders and working from heights. Manual dexterity in both hands. Ability to bend or stoop repeatedly throughout the workday. Ability to pull carts requiring a rolling starting force of 125 lbs. Capability to open doors and maneuver loaded supply carts through hallways and into/out of elevators. #D800
