2nd Shift Lead Electrical Technician, Utilities

Job Description

Our Manufacturing Operations teams are the people that make our products. We work in the manufacturing plants with a “Safety First, Quality Always” mindset striving for continuous improvement. We work in the local plant joined to our global manufacturing network to ensure the highest quality of raw materials, intermediates and finished products.

Under the direction of Utilities Engineering Manager:

Sets up, adjusts, repairs, and maintains all Utilities and Facilities electrical systems

Performs calibrations and maintains industrial instrumentation standards 

Carries out industrial maintenance functions in accordance with current Good Manufacturing

Practices (cGMP) and prepares technical documentation on as needed basis

Participates in the establishment and improvement of new and existing utilities electrical systems

Provides technical specifications and information to PE&S, Utilities Project Engineers, and other of our Manufacturing Division requestors

Primary focus will involve electrically maintaining process equipment by developing/performing PM's, developing/performing instrument calibrations, installing new equipment, completing validation protocols, documenting work using a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS - SAP) and other duties as requested by the Utilities Engineering Manager

Education Minimum Requirement

High School diploma or equivalent and 15 years of industrial maintenance experience, 2 year technical degree with 12 years of Industrial electrical maintenance experience, or equivalent combination of education, certifications, licensing, and experience.

Required Experience and Skills

Extensive knowledge in the industrial electrical distribution environment

High level Mechanical and Electrical Troubleshooting skills are essential and candidate must possess these skills to be effective in this area without further skills training

Ability to read electrical prints and P&ID control loops

Preferred Experience and Skills:

EPA refrigerant recovery certification (Universal Refrigeration License)

Comprehension and experience with High Risk Work (HRW) Permits

Experience managing new installation and existing infrastructure projects

Experience managing confined space entry
