2nd Shift Maintenance Technician
**Job Title: 2nd Shift Maintenance Technician** **Job Description** We are seeking a dedicated Maintenance Technician to join our team. As a global manufacturer and supplier of axles for commercial trucks, our facility requires a skilled maintenance electrician to ensure the smooth operation of our equipment. **Responsibilities** + Maintain and repair all building-related machinery and equipment. + Install electrical systems and equipment in accordance with city codes and industrial standards. + Run secondary power distribution lines and circuits to supply various voltage, amperage, and phase requirements to distribution panels, power and control circuits, building lighting, HVAC, weld robots, and various manufacturing equipment. + Systematically diagnose malfunctioning equipment and correct the problem. + Coordinate outside maintenance vendor activities. + Develop and implement preventative maintenance programs on all work centers and equipment using the QAD EAM system. + Train operators to perform basic periodic maintenance where applicable. + Identify areas of improvement to reduce downtime and improve efficiency. + Maintain tool crib stock levels and keep tool and maintenance cribs neat and orderly. + Participate as a member of the Safety Committee. + Maintain regular attendance. + Maintain the assembly work cells, facility, grounds, machinery, and equipment. + Troubleshoot and maintain equipment such as FANUC and ABB weld robots, Messer plasma tables, and hydraulic press brakes. + Perform PMs daily, weekly, and monthly checklists. + Maintain spare parts lists. + Troubleshoot equipment issues and work with product engineers on new and current fabricated products. + Work with PLCs, primarily troubleshooting (Allen Bradley). **Essential Skills** + At least 4 years of experience as a maintenance technician. + A minimum of two years of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic troubleshooting experience in a manufacturing environment. + Experience in a manufacturing setting involving welding, fabricating, and assembly. + Experience troubleshooting and repairing metal burning and forming equipment. + Proficiency with circuitry, electronics, PLCs (AB 5000), motors, sensors, and VFD sensors. + Ability to diagnose problems and perform repair work on hoists, pumps, and robots. + Experience with 480V electrical systems and installing 4-gang outlets. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + High School Graduate or GED. + Computer experience required; MS Office is a plus. + Experience with robotics, hydraulics, and pneumatics. + Willingness to attend PLC school. + Well-rounded technical skills in mechanical and electrical repair. **Why Work Here?** This is a direct hire position offering job security and stability.
