2nd shift Order Fulfilment Center Shipper/Receiver

Position Summary

In this position, you will process orders from start to finish by assembling boxes, counting/weighing products, performing light assembly, kitting products, and sealing/labeling containers for shipment under minimal supervision.  This position will also be responsible for the preparation of finished couplings through the operation of semi-automated sawing equipment.

Responsibilities 

Perform basic quality control checks including measuring, weighing, counting packages, and evaluating product or package appearance.Examine and inspect containers, and products to ensure that packing specifications are met.Saw, dust, and visually inspect product for quality.Perform routine basic maintenance on sawing equipment (blade changes)Ability to perform and become certified in basic Lockout Tagout (LOTO) procedures for saw blade changes.Fold and tape boxes, apply labels, and stack boxes on pallets according to direction.Prepare skids for shipment by banding and weighing.Process/schedule deliveries in SAP as needed.Load and unload packages from trucks; receive parts into inventory.Certified, or ability to become certified in forklift operation (stand-up/sit-down).Maintain a clean and safe workplace in accordance with policies, 6S procedures, and in line with core values.Repackage/restock RMA’s (Return Merchandise Authorization).Examine and inspect containers, and products to ensure that packing specifications are met.Record transactions in SAP (Enterprise Recourse Planning System).

Experience and Skill Required

Sufficient education or equivalent education, training and experience to understand simple to moderately complex instructions regarding the operation of a production machine.Effectively communicate and work in a team environmentAccurately read and comprehend material such as blue-prints, work instructions, visual instruction sheets, measuring equipment, etc.Must be detail oriented and possess good communication skills as well as time management skills.Ability to write to record basic information.Knowledge of and ability to compute basic arithmetic.Ability to install and remove products from machines.Start, stop, and observe the functions of machines or equipment.Adjust materials or controls of a machine such as changing guides, setting timers, clearing jams, and adjusting switches to maintain performance.Manual dexterity.Knowledge of and ability to solve problems that have standard solutions.Ability to rely on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job.

Physical Requirements:

A 40-hour work week (Monday through Friday).Overtime may be required as needed to meet production demands, including working Saturdays.Prolonged periods of standing, walking, bending, lifting, and stretching.Must be able to regularly lift up to 35 pounds at a time, including up to 50 pounds with assistance.
