Job Description:

Location: Portland, Maine

CoWorx Staffing Services is seeking 2nd shift Press, Bindery, and Roll Stock/Recycler Operators in the Portland, ME area. This role is crucial to ensuring the production of high-quality printed materials and efficient post-production processes. If you have experience in press operation, bindery work, or material handling, we’d love to hear from you!

Responsibilities:

Press Operator:

• Set up, operate, and maintain printing presses to produce high-quality printed materials.
• Ensure accuracy in color registration, paper alignment, and quality of prints.
• Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on press machinery.

Bindery Operator:

• Operate bindery equipment such as cutters, folders, stitchers, and trimmers.
• Inspect finished products for quality and accuracy.
• Ensure bindery processes are completed efficiently and meet production deadlines.

Roll Stock/Recycler:

• Manage roll stock inventory and load material into production machines.
• Operate recycling equipment to process waste materials for reuse or disposal.
• Handle and transport materials using forklifts or other heavy equipment.

Desired Background/Skills:

• Previous experience in press operation, bindery work, or material handling would be preffered.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot equipment.
• Ability to lift heavy materials and stand for long periods.
• Familiarity with safety protocols and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Other Information:

Competitive hourly wage of $20 – $23, based on experience
