We are hiring a 2nd Shift Production Supervisor to join our team! This position oversees the activities of all production. Monitor safety, staffing, scheduling, mentoring, corrective action and problem solving.
This position oversees shift production and support group activities to produce high quality aluminum die castings following established procedures and work instructions. This position contributes directly to manufacturing goals in a highly participatory environment and must be able to assume the Value Stream Manager responsibilities as required.Responsible for performance evaluation, disciplinary action, training and supervision of production department employees. This position directly supervises employees on assigned shift in the Die Cast and Machining Departments. Carries out supervisor responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, and training employees, planning, assigning, and directing work, appraising performance, rewarding and disciplining employees, addressing complaints and resolving problems.Focus on the production of quality castings and the effectiveness of the departments. Meeting daily, weekly, and monthly quotas as established by the Value Stream Manager. Providing hands-on direction and support for production, machining, or support service departments in the resolution of problems. Requirements High School Diploma or EquivalencyBachelor’s degree from four-year college or university preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience or training.Prefer 3 to 5 years' supervisory experienceBroad background in manufacturing-working in CNC machining & die cast, preferred.3-5 years’ experience in a manufacturing environmentAbility to multi-taskAbility to write routine reports and correspondence.Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.Ability to train others in routine production procedures.Time managementInterpersonal skillsKnowledge of Microsoft Office, PLEX, and PaylocityEmployees are expected to work onsite to attend in person meetings and collaborate as necessary
