Job details Spherion is currently seeking several skilled CNC Machinist to join our clients team. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating CNC machines to produce parts that meet stringent quality requirements at the lowest cost and within specified timeframes.

Shift: 6:00am - 4:00pm, Monday - Thursday

Weekend Shift: Friday - Sunday, 4am - 4pm ...
36 hour schedule, get paid for 40 hours!

Night Shift Wednesday - Friday Night, 4:00pm - 4:00am

Responsibilities:
-Operate a variety of CNC machines within a designated department
-Maintain a clean and safe work area
-Adjust tools and replace them as necessary
-Perform daily maintenance of machines, reporting any issues beyond operator-assigned tasks to the supervisor
-Interpret layouts, job packets, and blueprints, including Geometric Tolerancing
-Provide accurate inventory counts
-Collect and input SPC data, utilizing instruments such as comparators, CMMs, Trimos, and gauges
-Perform necessary side operations during machine cycle time (e.g., deburring)
-Collaborate with team members across shifts to meet departmental standards and quality goals
-Fulfill other duties as assigned

Working hours: Various Shifts Available

Skills:
-Completion of an approved CNC Programming Course
-Trade school training on CNC machines
-Experience in the operation of 5-axis machines
-Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing certificate

Education:
High School

Experience:
1-4 years

Qualifications:
-High School diploma or equivalent
-Ability to pass a skill-based test for Level 1 machinist
-Completion of at least a 2-year qualified machining program or a minimum of 4 years of equivalent prior machining experience
-Proficient in reading and understanding CNC programs and operational layouts
-Capability to perform a sequence of operations with minimal supervision while consistently maintaining set performance levels for quality and quantity
-Understanding of safety rules and regulations to prevent unsafe setups, operations, or acts that might cause injury to self, others, or the environment
