One of Scania’s key priorities is driving the shift towards sustainable transport, which we do through research, innovation and development.
At our department within R&D we develop future solutions for both electrified and conventional powertrains. We investigate how different powertrains influence complete vehicle behaviour, performance and user experience. Taking actions towards comprehending and capturing customer needs for performance and usability throughout the transport mission is one of our main tasks.
Description
Within our team we are now starting up our work within the field of user experience (UX) connected to usability and drivability in the context of executing a transport mission between point a and b.
We are looking for two engaged and creative students for a thesis work in the field of User Experience (UX) Design. The thesis will be linked to our team as well as corresponding property managers and will be ongoing for a period of 6 months.

The goal of the thesis is to investigate and propose improvements for the interaction between driver and system/vehicle. This includes for example:

We are looking for two self-reliant, enterprising thesis students studying M.Sc. within a relevant field with an interest in vehicle development.
Time plan
The project is planned to take 20 weeks and will preferably be started at the beginning of 2025.
