The 340B Pharmacy Analyst will work with qualified 340B entities to ensure optimal program performance in compliance with legal, regulatory, and financial standards. The analyst will optimize purchasing for supplies and medications from the 340B program, and will perform ongoing analysis, audits, and data validation to ensure accurate and optimal performance.

Responsibilities 340B ProgramComplianceEnsures policies and procedures are implemented according to regional, national, state and federal guidelines and approved by Legal and Compliance.Evaluates gaps at the facility level and assist in providing the tools necessary to be compliant with the 340B programEvaluate covered entity reconciliation at the contract pharmacy, covered entity, and wholesaler levelsReporting – Ensures reporting meets regional, national, state, and federal guidelines  Participate in projects, councils, and special initiatives related to 340B, compliance, auditing functions, vendor selection, and medication management.  Participates in system and local 340B committees.Keep abreast of regulations, trends, and issues pertaining to the 340B program.Provide education to providers, staff and participants with the 340B program regarding ongoing compliance with the 340B program.Maintain internal relationships (finance, legal, national) and external relationships (wholesalers, manufacturers, contract pharmacies, splitter software vendor, Employee Benefit Pharmacy Benefits Manager (PBM) and Third Party Administrator (TPA) vender as needed).Assists 340B covered entities to develop business plans to prioritize and implement programs related to infusion services, facility owned retail pharmacy, employee prescription program development and contract pharmacy agreements.

Reviews medical and pharmacy documentation of 340B eligible claims.

Qualifications

Minimum Education

High school diploma and at least 7 years’ experience or an Associates Degree.

 

Minimum Work Experience

Minimum of 5 years of direct experience within a 340B program and covered entity. 

Experience with pharmacy billing and pharmacy systems

Comprehensive knowledge of pharmacy practices and knowledge of 340B program

Solid understanding of auditing standards, techniques, and proceduresSolid understanding of financial conceptsKnowledge of the issues, trends, and challenges presented by participation in the 340B programKnowledge of 340B program regulatory and compliance requirements

Required Licenses/Certifications

340B Certification (Preferred)
