340B Technical Analyst

Job Summary

Under the supervision of the Director 340B Program, assist in the completion of all tasks relevant to the maintenance of the Vandalia Health 340B program, including but not limited to completion of audits, program enhancement and optimization, reporting, purchasing, split-billing, and inventory maintenance for all Vandalia Health retail and mixed use pharmacy operations, contract pharmacy operations, and assist in other pharmacy regulatory functions as needed.


Education: 

High School Diploma/GED -Required

Nonessential but preferred:

*Completion of Apexus Advanced 340B Operations Certificate

3+ years of 340B experience

associate degree or higher in business, healthcare, or related field

 

Responsibilities

•Produce data for any 340B audits on a scheduled basis. Present reconciliation issues as they arise.

•Monitor and audit state Medicaid claims to ensure compliance to prevent potential duplicate discount rebates

•Analyze and filter non-eligible 340B pharmacy transactions

•Support the mission of 340B program integrity and compliance with tasks as assigned by the

Director 340B Program and/or 340B Analyst and Integrity Coordinator.

•Evaluate patient eligibility for qualified and non-qualified patients by reviewing medical records, insurance plans, and hospital status

•Ensure compliance with 340B Program requirements for all patients, drugs, and locations

•Assist the Director 340B Program with the update of the 340B policy to ensure accurate representation of the Health System’s 340B processes

· Monitors and maintains records of all audits and reviews completed. Uses audit findings to ensure compliance with 340B Drug Discount Program to include documentation of policies and procedures, tracking software, documenting cost savings, and appropriate safeguards/system integrity. Reports audit variances to Director 340B Compliance and Operations for Correction.

· Reports to Oversight Committee or as requested.

· Monitors, calculates, and reports 340B cost savings on a routine basis.

•Maintain 340B competency by attending 340B webinars, reading 340B e-mail , and attending 340B University

•Participate and provide representation in project teams, meetings and conference calls to improve and standardize 340B compliance system wide.

Education 

• High School Diploma or GED (Required) Experience: None required. Hospital or pharmacy experience preferred. Certificate or experience in accounting or technical analysis preferred
