The 3D designer will work with the Director of Educational Technologies and Innovation to create models, animations, and graphics to be utilized in a variety of creative projects. You will be responsible for creating 3D artworks using various modeling and texturing techniques. 

Key Tasks and Responsibilities:

Your duties will include developing a 3D design for new products, reviewing, and enhancing the 3D design of existing products, and understanding project requirements. Using 3D computer graphics software, you will develop a design layout for complex projects as well as primary models and sketches for final product design. As a 3D designer, you are also responsible for participating in brainstorming sessions and team meetings. You should be highly creative and have the ability to work collaboratively. Your ability to manage deadlines and offer excellent feedback will be an added advantage.

Educations/Experience

3+ years’ experience as a professional 3D modeler Proven experience working closely with developers Knowledge in skills such as modeling, texturing, animation 1+ year of experience with standard art packages such as Maya, Blender, Photoshop, etc 1+ years of experience in translating real world objects into polished 3D models Bachelor's degree or equivalent (minimum 3 years) work experience; if Associate's Degree, must have minimum 1 year work experience Have team leadership and mentor experience Have a base understanding of Unity Applicants for employment in the US must have work authorization that does not now or in the future require sponsorship of a visa for employment authorization in the United States

Skills/Abilities

Translate reference images of characters and environments into efficient and polished 3D models (High/Low poly) Create detailed 3D assets using modeling, sculpting, and texturing skills Animate rigged characters and objects to accurately convey movement for medical procedures Communicate updates and concerns with team members, both developers, and subject matter experts Create unique designs within a production schedule Be willing to iterate to find the best solution for web-based performance Stays on top of new software and is willing to conduct a product evaluation to recommend the best products for our ecosystem
