Summary of Role:
GlobalFoundries Fab 8 is seeking a highly skilled and motivated 3D Heterogeneous Integration (3DHI) Manager to become part of our state-of-the-art 300mm fabrication facility in Malta, New York. The role will entail leading the 3DHI team to develop various advanced packaging capabilities, such as wafer-to-wafer (W2W) hybrid / fusion bonding, die-to-wafer (D2W) hybrid bonding, and interposers.
Essential Responsibilities:
Directly supervise and guide team members, ensuring they understand their roles and responsibilities.
Assign tasks, set expectations, and monitor performance.
Provide feedback and coaching to improve performance and address issues.
Onboard and train new employees.
Manage workflow and ensure tasks are completed on time and to the required standards.
Resolve conflicts and address employee concerns.
Propose and manage budgets for critical prototype and development projects.
Drive team to define clear project timelines, including timely readouts in internal/external forums.
Drive preparation for new project proposal reviews.
Enable relevant project scoping / sizing for internal and external customer development requests.
Establish critical development partner and vendor relationships.
Execute advanced bonding and heterogeneous integration roadmap.
Support quarterly roadmap exercises.
Identify and resolve issues that arise in the team's work.
Report on team performance and progress to senior management.
Other Responsibilities:
Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements and programs.
Other duties as assigned by manager.
Required Qualifications:
Education – Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or related field from an accredited degree program
Technical Experience – 8+ years of prior related work experience
Management / Leadership Experience – 2+ years of technical lead experience
Travel - Up to 10%
Fluency in English Language – Written & verbal
Preferred Qualifications:
Education – PhD degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or related field from an accredited degree program
Technical Experience – 10+ years of prior related work experience
Management / Leadership Experience – 2+ years of people management experience
Project management skills - i.e., the ability to innovate and execute on solutions that matter; the ability to navigate ambiguity.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Strong planning & organizational skills.
Expected Salary Range
$107,400.00 - $204,500.00The exact Salary will be determined based on qualifications, experience and location.
