As a 3D Modeling Intern , you will be responsible for producing character artwork for three-dimensional product applications and works on projects at all levels of complexity with the team. You'll work under general supervision as part of team that strives to meet expectations under pressure while maintaining high-quality standards. If selected, you will be part of a dedicated, collaborative and hard-working group of 3D modelers who realize characters and stories in 3D and will report to the Manger of 3D Modeling.

What You Will Do Development of 3D character models for the development of consumer products across multiple properties and product typesPreparing computer files accurately for appropriate manufacturing processes in accordance with client/vendor specificationsArchiving all project files within the standards established by the 3D TeamOperating and maintaining 3D printers for rapid prototyping and high-resolution 3D outputs for manufacturingContribute to new product ideas and participate in brainstorming sessionsResponsible for maintaining high character art standardsRequired Qualifications & Skills Demonstrate high-quality 3D modeling skills in ZBrushPossess strong creative digital literacy in Adobe Illustrator and PhotoshopUnderstand the principles of cartooning and cartoon animationHave a baseline knowledge of Character ArtPrevious exposure to multiple mediums (sculpting, painting, and traditional/digital drawing)Proven Strong concepting skillsPassion for Disney Characters and Storytelling and how it translates to products.Fresh and inventive creative problem solverUnderstanding and awareness of marketplace trendsAble to present creative concepts in both formal and informal settingsA Portfolio submission that clearly demonstrates the ability to translate 2D concept to 3DPreferred Qualifications Proficiency in Cinema 4DProficiency in hard surface modeling in one of the following (Maya,  Solidworks, Rhino3D)Education Currently enrolled as an undergraduate student pursuing a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Animation, Fine Arts, Graphic Design, or a related art fieldRequired MaterialsA portfolio review is required for this position. Eligibility Requirements & Program Information:

Candidates for this opportunity MUST meet all of the below requirements:

Be enrolled in an accredited college/university pursuing a degree taking at least one class at time of application OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Internship. Current Disney Interns, College, International, or Culinary Program Participants: You may only work for ONE consecutive year (12 months) in any combination of an internship and/or program.Be at least 18 years of agePossess unrestricted work authorization
