Description:

You will be the 3D Printing Technician for our Additive Manufacturing lab team, responsible for maintaining 3D-printers, supporting lab engineering builds, and developing aerospace-grade products. Our team is responsible for delivering innovative solutions to internal customers for research and development projects and contracted programs.

What You Will Be Doing
As a 3D Printing Technician, you will be responsible for performing all functions associated with the additive manufacturing process, including machine operation, post-processing, and specification compliance. You'll work closely with the Additive Manufacturing lab team to develop products, coordinate with other lab and program groups, and communicate with customers.
Your responsibilities will include:
• Maintain and operate 3D-printers, as well as the lab environment
• Support lab engineering builds and develop additively manufactured products
• Perform hands-on post-processing, specification compliance, and data management
• Coordinate and work on technical duties and activities concurrently
• Collaborate with the Additive Manufacturing lab team and other stakeholders to develop products and resolve competing needs

MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position is located at a facility that requires special access. The selected candidate must have the ability to obtain a Secret Security Clearance. An Interim Secret is required to start.
Basic Qualifications:
• 3 years’ experience, maintaining, cleaning mechanical equipment and technical lab environment

• 1-3 years’ experience in mechanical design with Pro/E/CREO or other CAD models, and GD&T (Geometric dimensioning and tolerancing).

• 1-3 years experience with additive manufacturing

• Skilled in all Microsoft Office products.

• High School education or equivalent experience
Desired Skills:
• Mechanical skills in assembly of engineering prototype hardware. Sanding, painting and general assembly of plastic and metal hardware components.

• Experience with composites and plastics, bonding agents, primers, paints, fillers, epoxies, composites and related processes also a plus
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
