Description:

ATCO Frontec is seeking a 3rd Cook to join our kitchen team in Resolute Bay, NU. The 3rd Cook is responsible for preparing a wide variety of foods including breakfast.

Working on a rotation of 4 weeks on/4 weeks off, 7 days a week, with all travel paid. The hourly wage is $22/hour.

Responsibilities:

Ensure all meal prep is organized and completed as required. All dishes are prepared and severed to the highest standard Assist in stocking of all food serving areas according to the number of persons to be served, with a focus on quality, appearance, adequate stocking levels, and minimizing leftovers and product waste. Prepares and cooks food according to standardized recipes, ensuring food is cooked at the proper temperature and at the proper length of time. Maintains established food rotations in storage in order to minimize spoilage and waste Operates food services equipment in a safe manner and according to established policies and procedures. Follows principles of sanitation and safety in handling food, work area and equipment Ensure that all prepared products are correctly recorded on daily kitchen logs for hot and cold holding, temperature logs and daily cleaning schedules. Acts in a courteous, efficient, and friendly manner in all customer and employee interactions.

Qualifications:

Completion of a college or other post-secondary program in cooking is considered an asset Valid food safety certificate is required 2-3 years’ experience as 3rd cook or line cook in the Camp/Hotel/Restaurant industry Ability to prioritize and multitask Professional communication skills, oral, and written Work well under pressure

Compensation:
