SummaryResponsible for developing and executing the production schedule including sequencing, routing and scheduling intermediate production orders within the current ERP manufacturing system.
Principal and Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesCreates, monitoring and maintains planned production orders in the current ERP manufacturing system. Reviews and utilizes available inventory to ensure fulfillment of production orders, taking into account schedule compliance and operational requirements. Converts planned orders into production orders ensuring they are received by the correct resource. Updates production orders with substitutions, alternate resources and sequence. Creates production orders for various processes based on the planning manager's schedule.
Experience Requirements3-5 years experience. Knowledge of process manufacturing, production process flows, production scheduling and optimizing with constraints. Prior experience in managing multi-level production lead times and shelf life optimization for materials. Good working knowledge of production sequencing and routing. Detailed and working knowledge of computers, including Windows, Excel, Outlook and SAP. May include overnight travel.
Experience Preferred Environmental Factors and Physical Requirements1. Position is mostly sedentary but may require occasional moving to other offices or buildings. 2. When in a plant environment: Exposure primarily consists of wet and moist floors which include metal and plastic grating surfaces. May be exposed to temperatures of 28 degrees to 100 degrees Fahrenheit with both ambient and 100% humidity. May handle product 25 degrees to 50 degrees Fahrenheit. May be exposed to noise ranges of 50 db. to 110 db. May be exposed to all chemicals used in poultry, food, processing facility. Must wear and use protective and safety equipment required for the job as directed by the Company.
