Purpose and Description
The Quality Specialist is considered the subject matter expert and responsible for tasks assigned within the Operations Quality organization which includes researching, investigating, and communicating information in a timely and professional manner. This information can be communicated internally or externally using various methods such as verbal (1x1 meetings and group presentations) and electronic media. The Quality Specialist is also responsible for tasks assigned to Quality projects including but not limited to inspecting products, data collection, reporting, and executing improvement actions and deliverables. This position might also be used as a training resource to carry out training as identified by Quality Management. The Quality Specialist may also fulfill our daily customer commitments by ensuring the product is accurately moved into and out of the appropriate systematic inventory location while simultaneously resolving inventory discrepancies and adjustments per department guidelines. This role requires the ability to work as a team player successfully within and across departmental boundaries while maintaining an overall positive attitude.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Perform handset inspections, data recording, DAX usage, Database usage, sorting, counting, packaging, and confirming to verify product compliance with Asurion’s documented standards.Report audit findings, assist with root cause analysis and escalate critical issues following the established quality escalation procedures.Utilize DAX to research and perform stock investigations or similar material reviews.Able to perform all aspects of Inventory transactions, IBL reports, research discrepancies, perform inventory adjustments, and communicate errors to leadership.Ability to confirm or reject prior inspection findings throughout operation processes.Coordinate inventory flow and the movement of products promptly to avoid warranty expiration, BKO, or sub-impact.Minimize impact regarding defective products by identifying reoccurring defective failures and providing feedback to operation quality supervisors and leadership. Work cross-functionally to ensure the product is correctly classified and reclassified in DAX or other data recording systems including spreadsheets.Perform special projects to identify specific issues which may require inspection, collecting data, and creating summary reports to provide to area leadership.Assist in root cause analysis for discrepancies and implementation of process improvements.Perform cross-training of employees with existing and new procedures as they are implemented as needed.Ability to audit processes using various methodologies such as LPA, SWOT, and FMEA.Ability to assist Quality leadership to confirm non-conformance findings.Ability to submit Deviation and Work instruction updates.OTHER FUNCTIONS

Skills/knowledge:
Ability to navigate handset functions with experience in Quality inspection and Asurion Quality standards.Experience with DAX and material controlKnowledgeable in root cause analysis, inspection techniques, auditing, and developing data collection and reporting methods.Ability to work in standard Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, etc.)Ability to maintain productivity and adherence to quality standards as set by leadership and be receptive to feedback on performance.Experience working cross-functionally with problem-solving skills and process improvement initiatives.Ability to respect the core values of Asurion and comply with the Company's policies and procedures.Ability to work collaboratively with team members to achieve business goals and objectives.Experience/education:
High school diploma required; some college or technical training preferred.Must have a minimum of 6 months tenure in current rolePerformance rating must be Strong or aboveNot enrolled in PIP, Written Warning, Final Written Warning or higher disciplinary actionCandidate’s Workday location should be “Smyrna”Candidate’s current line of business should be Supply ChainPhysical demands: Bending, sitting, lifting, and standing based on the need of the business.
