3rd Shift Team Leader - Direct

Job Title:  Warping - Team Lead

 

SUMMARY

Under the direction of the Warping Supervisor or Manager, this person is responsible for ensuring that production specifications and quality are achieved. Skills will be acquired through on the job training, review of SOPs, and working through daily responsibilities and challenges.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Follow all safety standards Monitor Department / Associates to provide a safe work environment Verification that NCL’s (1st piece checks) meets SOP specs and quality standards and clears Lab Reporting and maintaining Warping Visual boards Provide guidance for development of all Associates Quality reviews from internal customer, including working with Quality Tech’s in resolving NCR issues Audits of Quality Check adherence Oversee Creelers and yarn Hangers Audit process for Quality of production and verify conformity. Distribution of Shift Report Relieve Supervisor of all duties in their absence Containment reviews Ability to provide unbiased directions Participation in leadership training as necessary Initiate and execute special requests from customer (Knitting) Other duties as assigned

KNOWLEDGE OF

Ability to interact with all levels of the business. Willingness to learn and grow. Understanding of textile manufacturing methods. Understand all processes at a basic level and how the most relevant parameters affect the quality of the product. Know and understand customer expectations and specifications. PC skills to include Outlook and Excel Some knowledge of Internal Lear systems; Control Plan, Inspection Reports, Basics

 

ABILITY TO

Read, write, and speak and understand in English, in order to interpret documents such as specifications, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, reports, business correspondence, regulatory and procedure manuals Add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals Ability to record numbers on required paperwork Communicate clearly and effectively with co-workers, Supervisors and Managements. Work independently with little or no supervision and be a team player Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form Meet behaviors established in Company performance management and development process. Effectively organize, set priorities, schedule assigned work; oversee multiple and rapidly changing priorities Pay attention to detail Effectively execute tasks Ability to use a computer and Microsoft Office programs Communicate effectively

 

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and six months to one-year position-related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience Must have operator experience – (Must be able to set up, thread and operate all warpers). Creel knowledge-Understanding of Creels/packages/repacks
