The School Nurse assumes responsibility and accountability for the application of the nursing process and the delivery of student/client care and/or contracted services in a school setting. The School Nurse may also be in a supervisory position within the contracted services. The successful candidate will provide high-quality nursing care to students in grades K-8. Responsibilities: + Provide daily health care to students, including first aid, medication administration, and management of chronic health conditions. + Maintain accurate health records and documentation. + Communicate effectively with students, parents, and school staff regarding health-related issues. + Ensure the nurse's office is a safe and welcoming environment for student care. + Utilize the private restroom and adequate workspace provided in the nurse's office. Qualifications: + Valid RN or LPN license. + Experience in pediatric or school nursing preferred. + Strong communication and organizational skills. + Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
