Ready to join a team that makes a difference? A little about the position: 5-Axis CNC Programmer/Operator Job Summary We are seeking a CNC Programmer/Operator to join our team. We are looking for someone to apply their technical expertise, skills and commitment to quality. Skilled in 5 axis CNC machinery setup, operation and programming. Must be dependable, have mechanical aptitude and good math skills. Some of What You Will Do: + Use SolidWorks to develop CNC Programming using Mastercam + Create /maintain CNC machining programs + Define, design, order, review and implement all tooling associated with manufacture of parts on specified CNC machinery, working with Tool Design as required. + Create / maintain tooling libraries and databases including set up sheets, sketches, and associated documentation required to accurately account for the design configuration of CNC tooling + Daily work includes reading blueprints, process sheets, instructions, visual display units, tool management, reading and understanding CNC programs, managing the machines automatic tool changer system, PC based management/preset system, part probe, and broken tool detection + Housekeeping, removal of chips from machined work area as required to sustain and maintain clean and safe work area. + Support the process engineering team and realization of new projects and equipment + Machine setup and operation + Performs troubleshooting of CNC machines and automated equipment. + Inspects parts for issues or imperfections and detect source of the matter + Provides assistance, coaching and training to new and existing colleagues + Responds to quality and operator machining issues + Assists in all technical help + Works toward continually improving processes + Make or offer suggestions to drawings and parts changes to improve manufacturability + Other duties as assigned What You Bring to the Table: (Qualifications) + 3+ years Mastercam and SolidWorks experience or other 3D CAD software + 3+ years’ experience in 5 axis CNC router programming, setup and operation + CNC trade school certification or equivalent + Experience with Siemens Controls + Experience with programming and routing foam and other lightweight materials Why should you come work with Us?
