What is the opportunity?
You will be the HR Business Partner (HRBP) providing support and leadership on the RBC Talent Strategy to the Investment Banking and Capital Markets businesses.
You will be primarily working with the Senior HRBP to support delivery on the business strategies of the UK & European Capital Markets teams through the development, advancement and execution of RBC people objectives and solutions in the UK and Europe.
In particular, the HRBP provides direct guidance to senior stakeholders and managers across Capital Markets on all aspects of workforce management, talent management, leadership development, employee development and performance management.
All elements of this mandate will be completed in partnership with and through the support of Centres of Expertise (COEs) and HR Teams globally.
What will you do?
Partner with senior Leaders to advance the talent review and succession processes to ensure the most effective use of talent. Provide developmental assignments or appropriate learning interventions. Align to broader Annual Talent Processes (ATP) to meet broader HR deliverables.
Partnering with the business on transformation programmes and driving associated people change initiatives, including target operating model review, spans and layers, culture programmes.
Provide guidance and direction on compensation processes with businesses leaders and contribute to the development and evolution of compensation strategies through knowledge of HR policies, legislation, regulation to support good governance.
Provide leadership and direction in establishing performance management and driving a performance enablement culture to align with the broader business strategy and culture. Support a reward for performance culture and alignment to the broader regulatory requirements.
Lead with the business in assessing and strengthening leadership depth and employee capability through support of integrated leadership programs and development opportunities.
Support the D&I strategy through strategic, consultative advice and partnership to business leaders. Delivery of workstreams in partnership with business and D+I partners ie Gender Pay Gap, ‘Women in Finance Charter.
What do you need to succeed?
Must-have
Demonstrable experience working as an HR Business Partner with specific skillset in Investment Banking and Capital Markets.
An understanding of the regulatory regime as it relates to HR and Capital Markets/Investment Banking businesses.
Ability to partner and influence key senior stakeholders and navigate a global organisation.
Exposure to European Markets ideally France and Germany and an understanding of the legislation that underpins these markets.
Demonstrable experience of managing competing priorities in a complex organisation.
Nice-to-have
CIPD qualification preferred.
Educated to degree level or equivalent.
Management Experience preferred.
Experience of working in a COE or working overseas.
