988 Network Engagement Program Manager

Position Overview: The Program Manager,988 Network Engagement serves as the primary point of contact and as the principal liaison for a portfolio of 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline key stakeholders involved in the implementation of 988. This includes Crisis Contact Centers, States and Territory Mental Health Authorities (SMHAs) who fund local response, Tribes, and Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) Grant Project Officers (GPOs). As the relationship manager, this role will serve as a navigator and informed thought partner. Job Duties and Responsibilities: + Manage a regional portfolio of centers and SMHAs, identifying core needs and providing operational support including but not limited to facilitating and supporting connection with other 988 Lifeline departments as appropriate. Conduct regular communications with centers, SMHAs, and Tribes building strong relationships with key stakeholders including but not limited to facilitating discussion among stakeholders. + Facilitate and monitor progress toward the annual 988 local response plan in collaboration with centers, SMHAs, tribes, and necessary Vibrant departments. + Support connection and collaboration with centers, SMHAs, and Tribes through in-person events such as stakeholder visits, regional convenings, presentations, and conference attendance. + Participate in and represent Vibrant at national conferences and in-person team meetings and trainings. + Provide Network Engagement expertise as part of 988 projects and initiatives to represent stakeholder needs. + Engage in professional development activities. + Participate in regular supervision activities. + Collaborate with Senior Program Manager, 988 Center Engagement, regularly to share progress, surface roadblocks, and brainstorm solutions to better support stakeholders. + Other duties as assigned. Qualifications: + Ability to travel quarterly or as needed + High emotional intelligence + Excellent communication and interpersonal skills + Courteous and professional manner + Effective time management and organizational skills + Ability to establish productive and collaborative relationships with all levels of staff + Ability to operate in a fluid environment requiring creativity, while maintaining effectiveness and efficiency, while multi-tasking to meet deadlines Education and Experience: + Bachelor’s degree preferred, in Healthcare, Public Health, Policy or Social Sciences, or other health-related fields + Experience in mental health/suicide prevention, crisis center work, and some familiarity with the nonprofit and/or government sector strongly preferred Physical and Sensory Requirements: + Mostly sedentary work, using standard office equipment including a computer, keyboard, and telephone + Capability to travel + Ability to remain calm and composed under stress + Ability to communicate through various mediums, including video conferencing platforms, phones, etc. + Maintain a dedicated workspace, free of distractions and other obligations Excellent comprehensive benefits, including medical, dental, vision, supplemental income insurance, pre-tax transit/parking, pre-tax FSA for medical and dependent care, and 401K available. 4 weeks’ vacation, plum benefits, etc. ** This role is endowed/subsidized through June 2025, with the possibility of renewal based on performance and funding ** Studies have shown that women and people of color are less likely to apply for jobs unless they believe they are able to perform every task in the job description.
