988 Subaward Coordinator
Position Title: 988 Subawards Coordinator Department: National Programs Reports to: 988 Subawards Manager Salary Range: $35.71 - $38.46 hourly Location: Remote Schedule: Monday-Friday 9AM – 5PM EST Formerly the Mental Health Association of New York City (MHA-NYC), Vibrant Emotional Health’s groundbreaking solutions have delivered high quality services and support, when, where and how people need it for over 50 years. Position Overview: The 988 Subawards Coordinator will assist with providing overall subaward quality assurance and management expertise across the 988 portfolios. This position will provide expertise and technical guidance from pre-award phase to close-out of subawards, including the development of select strategic subaward funding operations. Duties/Responsibilities: + Maintains Subawards/Subrecipients tracking spreadsheet; follows up on subaward agreement renewals and RFPs; prepares FFATA reporting for federal agreements; maintains Subawards/Subrecipients files. + Prepares reports for Subawards Manager to review: Prepares advanced account spending worksheet, AR Aging Reports, Close Out spreadsheet, disbursement summary and provides monthly end date reports. + Subrecipient performance: assists with the review and evaluation to provide feedback on subrecipients monthly financial and technical reports to ensure accuracy, completeness and timeliness. + Close Outs: Prepares close out checklist for closed cost centers and reviews with Subawards Manager. Processes final close out journal entries. Prepares and maintains Close Out spreadsheet. + Providing customer service: Works through/with the Subawards Manager on any items that require communication with our teams. + Other responsibilities: May participate in audits; performs other duties as assigned. Required Skills/Abilities: + Advanced proficiency with Excel, Office, and other software related to project management systems. + Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; + Ability to establish productive and collaborative relationships with all levels of staff; + Ability to navigate complex decision-making involving multiple stakeholder groups; Great judgment and effective and creative leadership ability; + Ability to quickly absorb complex, technical documents and brief the Executive team; Attention to detail and excellent organization skills; + Ability to take initiative, problem-solve, prioritize duties, and balance competing priorities while paying close attention to detail, meeting deadlines, and working well under pressure. + Ability to speak, read and write proficiently in English. Required Qualifications: + Bachelor’s Degree in public health, policy, business or comparable experience; + 2+ years of experience working on subawards; + Understanding of Uniform Administrative Requirements, Cost Principles, and Audit Requirements for Federal Awards; Physical Requirements: + Mostly sedentary work; using standard office equipment including: a computer, keyboard, and telephone + Ability to remain calm and composed under stress + Ability to respond to telephones and other auditory stimulation ** This role is endowed/subsidized through June 2025, with the possibility of renewal based on performance and funding ** Excellent comprehensive benefits, including medical, dental, vision, supplemental income insurance, pre-tax transit/parking, pre-tax FSA for medical and dependent care, and 401K available. 4-week vacation, plum benefits, etc. Studies have shown that women and people of color are less likely to apply for jobs unless they believe they are able to perform every task in the job description.
