The South Florida region consists of the following Terracon offices: Tampa, Sarasota, Miami, Fort Lauderdale, West Palm Beach, and Port Saint Lucie. This management position is for an experienced A/E/C consulting professional who will lead and oversee those defined offices with the overall responsibility for assisting the offices achieve their full potential. The chosen candidate will also assist those offices with project/ client review and recommend or resolve operational problems and minimize roadblocks for offices that they may encounter. The qualified candidate will conduct meetings and prepares reports to communicate the status of the offices to the division manager. Set priorities, assign tasks, and coordinate project staff to meet project targets and milestones. This position will also require the successful candidate to conduct business development activities to assist in growing the region.

Essential Roles and Responsibilities:Provides technical expertise and back-up management assistance to offices for the S. Florida Region when requested or as needs develop.Manages and/or monitors client controversies or problems assisting the offices with the reconciliation of issues involving client dissatisfaction and keeps the Operating Group Manager/Senior Management of the firm informed of any pending legal actions.Provides direction and expertise to the development of projects or clients and assures that corporate resources are brought to bear on these marketing efforts.Assists the Office Managers in the administration of annual compensation, base salary and bonus, for their employee groups and evaluates recommendations to the Operating Group Manager/Senior Management for needed adjustments.Directs and encourages each key employee in his or her division to develop personal goals and objectives for their professional advancement.Provides direction and decisions to Office Managers and assists each in gaining support from corporate staff or other operating units.Ensures that all corporate operating policies and procedures are communicated to offices and consistently applied to their operations.Assists Office Managers in developing their short-range operating goals and objectives on an annual basis, assists in gaining corporate approval and monitors the implementation of plans on a monthly basis.Monitors the operational performance of all senior employees in the offices and administers annual performance appraisals of the key management on an annual basis.Monitors the financial results of the offices on a monthly basis and assists the Office Managers in taking corrective action to accomplish their financial goals.Assist the Division Manager or Operating Group Manager in implementation of strategic plan components into the respective organization.Lead, facilitate and communicate change to the organization.Responsible for monitoring and following requirements of the strategic plan; work with Offices to grow in accordance with the strategic plan.Monitors the execution of Quality Assurance and Quality Control systems within the offices and ensures that the company’s professional liability is being protected. Develop solutions to manage portfolio of risk.Serves on corporate task committees and Board of Director committees as required by the President to assist in the development of corporate plans, policies and procedures.Develops and monitors safety practices for Region or Division. Holds offices, managers, and employees accountable for following safety rules and guidelines. Develops safety plans and establishes goals for a safe working environment. Sets the example for others to follow.Requirements:Bachelor’s degree in technical discipline practiced by the Firm including Engineering, Environmental Science or Geology and 12 years’ related experience. Or, in lieu of a degree, a minimum of 16 years’ related experience.Valid driver’s license with acceptable violation history.#LI-SC1
